Module 3: Copilot in your Microsoft 365 work
Teams: check decisions and actions
Allow 3 minutes. Copilot in Teams meetings needs an add-on Microsoft Copilot licence and appropriate meeting policies. Use an approved training meeting, or use the Chat route.
Find the meeting answer
For a supported meeting that has a transcript, open its meeting chat, select Recap, then Copilot. You can ask for decisions and action items. After a meeting, questions about what was spoken need an available transcript.
Copilot can also work only during a meeting without keeping a transcript, if the meeting options and organisation policy allow it. That does not give you a later record of everything said. Do not assume "no recording" means "no retained Copilot interactions".
Arrange approval and participant notice before any recording or transcription. Do not turn it on just to complete this exercise.
Ask without filling gaps
List confirmed decisions and actions from this meeting.
For each action, show the owner, agreed date and source.
Keep proposals separate. Mark missing details as 'not agreed'.Read the source passages. A speaker can propose a date without the team accepting it. Confirm uncertain points with the people responsible.
Try it: 1 minute
Chat route: use the invented notes in module 2. Check that the buddy programme stays a proposal. This practises the checking habit without using a real recording or a Teams licence.
Done when: you can explain which evidence supports an action and which point still needs confirmation.
